Understanding the Pricing:
My pricing is carefully crafted, taking into account various factors to deliver exceptional value to you:
Materials: From premium-grade pencils to archival-quality paper, every component is handpicked to ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your artwork. Each commission causes pencil wear, so the price includes the wear, use and potential replacement of these materials. You can see what I use as my materials here.
Research & Preparation: Each portrait begins with extensive research and meticulous preparation to capture the essence of your beloved pet or wildlife subject. The time spent making digital drafts, making preliminary sketches and/or researching background images and art styles is accounted for in the commission price.
Creation Time: The time required to create a piece varies depending on its size and complexity. However, only the size of the art piece affects the price, as it determines the amount of pencil and time needed to complete the image. If the complexity of the piece increases the creation time, I cover that additional time-cost, not you. The same amount of pencil is needed to cover a given size of the page, regardless of its complexity.
Shipping Safety: Your artwork's safe journey to your doorstep is paramount. I invest in top-quality packaging materials to ensure its safe arrival.
Certificate of Authentication: Rest assured, each artwork comes with a Certificate of Authentication, affirming its genuineness and value as a unique creation by Sophie Eglinton Pet & Wildlife Art.
Shipping Rates: To ensure swift and secure delivery, I exclusively partner with DHL for shipping. The fixed shipping rates are designed to offer you peace of mind throughout the delivery process.

This is for two animal subjects, any species. Starting from 400 CHF.

I do backgrounds and depending on complexity, a there may be price increases due to increase study & work time needed for realism. There is a price increase of 10CHF if the background is to be especially realistic.

There are two canvas types. Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper, and Clarefontaine Pastelbord. The paper is relatively thick and of good quality. The Pastelboard is a thicker, more stable board and due to the increased stability, original price and quality, there is an increase of 2 CHF if you wish for me to use this.

I entrust DHL with the delivery of your commission, ensuring it's securely encased in my own custom robust and high quality packaging for safe transit. We will work out shipping prices together depending on your shipping location and preferences, e.g. to Switzerland, DHL Express vs. USA, International Express

You receive a commission portrait, a thank you card detailing the story of the commission, a certificate of authentication, stickers, unpacking & care instruction sheet, and a unique coupon of 10% for your next commission, as a thanks for your loyalty (for you or anyone else you gift it to to use!).
